Our teachers are members of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and also have additional qualifications in Special Education. Our support staff have various qualifications including Early Childhood Education, Personal Support Worker, and Educational Assistant Certificates.

The Campbell Children’s School Authority (CCSA) is the education partner of Grandview Children’s Center. As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you are employed by the Campbell Children’s School Board.
Registered Early Childhood Educator Summary:
Under the direction of the Principal, the Early Childhood Educator will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full day early learning program within a classroom setting. The Early Childhood Educator will collaborate in the design of programs and environments which will enhance children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
Two-year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma;
Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
Knowledge of Ministry of Education full-day Kindergarten Program;
Experience in an educational setting preferred;
Ability to communicate in a sensitive, courteous manner with children, parents, staff and the public and an understanding of and commitment to confidentiality;
Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures in an appropriate and timely manner;
Experience in planning and implementing age-appropriate programs;
Computer skills (i.e. SmartBoard, SeeSaw app., etc) are an asset;
Strong organization and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines;
Current First Aid and CPR certification;
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and move/carry equipment for program and must be able to physically assist children as required (e.g. lifting, bending, crouching, reaching, etc.).

There are limited placement opportunities at Campbell Children’s School for co-op students from universities, colleges, and high school programs. Students are assigned to work with a teacher, the principal or a small team of teachers. Duties will be performed under the supervision and direction of the school staff.

Volunteers are welcomed!
Volunteers can help in the classroom or office. Extra help is especially needed for certain activities such as swimming, physical education, or one-on-one student support.
